This RGB enclosure's unique design allows for two types of M.2, you can use M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA SSD. The RGB can display multi-color RGB or activity RGB. Besides the color, this enclosure offers the latest bridge from USB to your M.2 NVMe OR M.2 SATA at Gen 2 speed for fast data transfer via a native USB C interface. This Vantec’s signature design comes in Pocket Size, Anodized Aluminum, RGB LED switch, toolless NVMe mount, UASP, No Drivers Needed, and more. The heat plate, thermal pad, and solid Anodized Aluminum just whisked off the heat from your M.2 to keep it cool. These are all the great features you can expect from Vantec Storage.

Did not work with my desktop until I ran the firmware update from Vantec. Did work with some other devices out of the box.

Works with both SATA and NVME SSD drives.

My old review claimed it was likely only USB2.0 Speed, but tried my VR cable, and got 340 MB/s (2.7gbps).
